Project Ahimsa is thrilled to announce the addition of Jessica Walker to our team. As Director of Programs and Operations, Jessica will be handling a wide array of important infrastructural jobs critical to the success of Project Ahimsa. She brings a fantastic blend of artistic and global perspectives to her role.

Jessica Walker is from rural Southwestern Virginia. She has been living and working as a digital media artist in San Francisco for the past five years. In that time she has completed an MFA in Conceptual Information Arts at San Francisco State University and taught video production to youth and college-aged students. In 2009 she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to undergo independent research at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. At that time she produced an independent video project in which she traveled across the entire Australian continent by meeting and interacting with strangers who share her last name Walker. Jessica is passionate about traveling, connecting across cultural borders through her art practice and advancing under-served communities through educational outreach.
