“The Closest Farthest Away” Premiers in Cuba

Made possible because of a grant from Project Ahimsa, The Closest Farthest Away premiered to high acclaim in December 2009 at the Havana Film Festival. This groundbreaking collaboration between US and Cuban artists featured new technology which enabled artists to overcome limits imposed by the continuing political disagreements between our two countries.

Project Ahimsa’s grants enabled the group to purchase audio projection and recording equipment which was used by children involved in the project.
